The CTBC Brothers deregistered Michael Mariot and withdrew him off the active roster on September 19, the final day of the trade deadline.
Deregistration means Michael Mariot will be unable to pitch in the first team for the remainder of the 2022 CPBL season, for those unfamiliar with the CPBL transaction conditions. This is essentially the same as being released for overseas players.
Over 18.1 innings, the 33-year-old American right-hander ended his 2022 CPBL season with a 2.95 ERA and 1.47 WHIP.

Michael Mariot will remain in Taiwan and pitch for the farm club until the completion of the CPBL minor league season, according to the franchise.
With Michael Mariot no longer on the active roster, the CTBC Brothers will conclude the 2022 CPBL season with international players José De Paula, Francisco Pea, Tyler Viza, and Andy Otero.
