Deregistration implies Makita Kazuhisa won’t be permitted to pitch for the first team for the remainder of the 2022 CPBL season, for those who are unfamiliar with the CPBL transaction conditions. This is essentially the same as being released to international players.
The 37-year-old Japanese submariner concluded his 2022 campaign with 5.1 innings pitched with an 8.44 ERA and 2.63 WHIP.
The Brothers have added Tyler Viza to their roster since they have additional space. On September 13, the American right-hander, age 27, is scheduled to make his CPBL debut.
As of right now, the CTBC’s international players are José De Paula, Francisco Pea, Michael Mariot, Tyler Viza, and Andy Otero. Before the 2022 CPBL Trade Deadline on September 19, the club will release one additional international player.
